Notes
8.58 -- both Ed and Chris asked if the pace for the first mile was better today as I passed them. I replied in the affirmative.
8.29 -- this is more like it. Second mile faster than the first. Steve K. commented on my silence as I passed (he must've thought I was running _with_ Andy and Lisa instead of _behind_ them).
8.41 -- by this time, I had established that my goal was to catch up to Andy and Lisa so I could hear about all the plans for the Rock Bridge Revenge.
8.16 -- fastest mile (down College) trying to stay ahead of the people who had caught up to me (Ed and a woman I don't know).
8.23 -- this is the mile where Ed sped up and passed me, so I tried to catch him. Ed apparently always speeds up when he gets to the College overpass on this route -- must be why he always catches me on Hospital Drive. I went a little off track by taking the bridge over Providence.
8.48 -- this was more downhill than up; don't know why it was so slow. Saw a constant red light ahead that was getting a little closer; Norm, was that you?
8.57 -- the hill on Stadium up to Forum. Still closing on that group ahead of me, but I turned off to go on Colony Drive (and probably slowed down without the incentive to catch anyone).
8.58 -- this was all downhill or flat, so I don't have any excuses other than being old and tired.
All miles were under 9 minutes (yay), and the hernia and back didn't hurt today (double yay).
