Christmas Eve run w/ Z, Ryan, Paul, Johnny, Jesse, Wes from Z's house in Plymouth. He lives right next to Miles Standish State Forest which is an INCREDIBLE place to run, holy crap. 35 miles of nice wide trails / dirt roads. Apparently it all gets plowed in the winter too. 40' in we discovered that we were in Camp Squanto, and Z had no idea how to get back. We started going back the way we came, but then tried to take a shortcut and got even more lost. Finally found a driveway to cut out onto and ran a solid 2 miles down it, got to the end and after stopping to talk to a guy driving by, figured out that we'd gone 2 miles the wrong way and were sent back north on a parallel road (we were in Wareham!) Z got dropped before long, and when we stopped to walk and wait for him to catch up, he told us that we were a solid 7 miles or so of straight road away from his house. Luckily the two guys he'd talked to came driving by and had us all hop into the bed of their pickup truck, and they drove us most of the way back. Quite an adventure! Ended up being a pretty long time on our feet, although I really don't think we covered that much ground. Putting down 7:45 pace which is probably pretty conservative. With that said, my legs were once again really sore the whole way :/

Sounds a lot shittier than a Santa hat run.
