Met up with Brian for an early AM workout, in an all-week all-day training so can't make it to GBTC tonight. We did repeat miles w/ 1' rest, aiming for about 5:40 which I thought should be pretty manageable based on recent races. Got to Danehy late, so I jumped in on #2 with him and stopped after 4 rather than doing a 5th solo... kinda wimped out but eh, coming off of 3 races in < 2 weeks I didn't feel the need to *really* push it. Felt about as good as I expected, it wasn't EZ but not bad and wasn't really struggling with the pace or feeling tapped at the end. My right outer hip felt really tight / not working quite right, that would be my biggest grievance... need to SAM.

This is just the worst part of training... no real concrete fall racing schedule on the line, so motivation just isn't really there right now. Having fun doing other stuff and I'm not OOS, but don't really feel like I'm moving towards anything... and a workout like this that is "solid" is also a reminder of how far I am from being in peak shape... but s'all good. Looking at last year I am really in a similar spot to where I was before Philly, *if* that's what I want to do!
