Back at GBTC Practice: 3x1600 @ 10k w/ 1 lap jog, 6x200 starting at mile pace and cutting down w/ 200 jog. Was NOT expecting this to go well after the past few weeks where I am sure I have lost fitness, but I guess I felt pretty fresh. Got taken by surprise on the first rep where the group took off without me, luckily Shaun and Rob N started a lap in and I ran with them for the rest of it (took a bit extra jog after #1 to sync up). Workout was fun! I was thinking I would aim for 5:20s (10k pace from FLN), but since it was a short workout and I was feeling good I was okay going a little harder. Felt pretty smooth on the first two, on #3 I went out way too fast (under 2:35 at 800m) and died hard... was running by myself for the second half of the rep which didn't help. Did all the 200s with Shaun, fun to run fast - had a pretty nice cutdown but couldn't quite get under 30.0 on the last one :(
