Dual meet @ Middleboro. Ran the 800. First race in my new spikes, pretty cool. No one else good on Pembroke in my heat, just Eric. Going for the win. Still felt a little sick, but better. Z told me to try and get out in 62 and run 2:08. I took the lead from the gun. I was a little worried at first that I wasn't moving fast enough, but I came through the 200 in 29, 400 in 62, so it wasn't a huge problem. Struggled the second lap. Alone with 300 to go, hard to gauge my pace, but was really trying to push. Having trouble gettting in oxygen- reduced to shallow breaths- possibly due to my cough. Won the race by 4 seconds, but still disappointed- really wanted to go sub 2:10. Still, this wasn't a bad race. Looking forward to the relay meet Saturday.
