Notes

Great LR from Superdome w/ Brian, Grant, FAZ ft. Mike Yang, GD, and ATune. Nice morning out, enjoyable run over one of my favorite loops. Legs felt pretty good, surprisingly my arms / upper back felt pretty tight and sore in the last quarter of the run. The gentle "uphills" in the last 15' of the run were a bit of a grind. Funnily enough, the exact same distance as my LR last week, on a hillier loop, but 12 minutes faster... what a difference some good company makes! Was pretty tired and sore in the afternoon.

POSTRUN: leg swings

Week 5, a week with some "interruptions" in the form of some light travel... interruptions like that are in some ways as much the norm as anything else, so need to be able to flow with them and stay consistent. Definitely didn't handle it ideally this week (should have been able to get in at least a single short run on Friday), but still a good week. First step down in mileage in 5 weeks, but 92 in 6 days is nothing to sneeze at - I think the back to back 18+ days ("local" high mileage) isn't a bad thing to do from time to time, I think JK talks about how short "bursts" of mileage like that can be valuable. Workout on Thursday wasn't anything special but certainly wasn't troublesome, Tuesday was a nice hard effort and today was a quality day! Also was glad to get in some hurdle mobility yesterday + some mobility Tuesday and today, and happy with how hurdle strides went yesterday... I think I'll setup a hurdle workout for myself (or at least some 200s over hurdles) a week from Thursday and see how it goes!
