Macyntire Invitational. First Franklin Park meet ever. Loved the course. Ran in the Varsity Heat, with Wes, Ryan Moran, Joe, Brendan, Paul, and Ryan. Huge adrenaline rush going out. Got out in the mix, let people get ahead who wanted to, but probably in the top quarter by the end of the field. First mile was crazy fun- passing people constantly. Came through in the 5:30s. Then came trouble-got a cramp. Fell off of Wesley, got passed a ton, and ended up running 19:03. Felt like I definitely would have run faster if I hadn't gotten a cramp-really frustrating. Team won the invitational by a whopping 50 points. Ryan came in 3rd, Paul came in 5th, Brendan came in the top 10, Joe came in the top 20, and Ryan came in the top 30. Wes ran about 18:30. Both Coner and Eric beat me in the JV race- no one else is really close though. A frustrating race.
Goals for the season:
Run Varsity at Brown, Patriot League Meet, D IIIs, All States, (and Regionals and Nationals if we go that far)
Beat James Coner out for the 7th Varsity slot
Run 17:30 at Franklin Park
Place in the top 50 at All States
Win a meet
