Notes

Kind of a weird practice today. We split into 4 groups, which all had both sprinters and distance in them. We then went through 4 stations. Our first station was an easy 20 minute run. We then did an obstacle course on the parking lot. Then we did the hill repeats, and finally the core/ yoga with Matt Verc. I then lifted on my own because I hadn't done any lifting all week. Just did upper body stuff, because the rest of the day's workout took care of the lower body.

I talked to Joe Kelley a bit after lifting, and he had some advice for me. One thing he said was that my lower body is already very strong and that I don't need to worry about strengthening it. Another was to keep in mind that my goal was to run my best races for the indoor season at the end- D3s or Patriot League Meet. He also warned me not to overtrain and said that it was important that I rest when I'm supposed to- get hydrated, get plenty of sleep, take it easy when it's meant to be easy.
