GBTC Workout. Considering that we were expecting some hurricane offshoot weather, it was gorgeous out! No rain, not much wind, humidity manageable. Shaun was reprising the 3200 @ MP, 8x1k, 3200@ MP workout, I decided to roll with him, Norcross, and Manny as long as I could. Our goal for the 3200 was 5:40 pace, surprisingly this was totally comfortable for me, felt very relaxed and was even a little antsy as I saw that the second mile was gonna be slow. Figured it was better to just let the group dictate the pace and then have more left for the 1ks. They aimed for 3:20 flat, I was o.k. laying back off that pace a bit and more or less going solo (started each one with them). Maybe should have worked harder to stay with them, on the last one I was able to and it was hard but that's just hard intervals. 5 felt like the right number tonight, 5 miles total of work.
