GBTC workout: 4x1k, 4x800, all at 8k w/ 200m jog. This workout seemed like it wasn't going well at the time, but actually wasn't so bad! Conditions weren't great, it was much colder than it has been and was a bit windy too, and I'm sure I was feeling Sunday's race. I wanted to dial it back a bit from the past few weeks, ended up being a good bit slower (esp. considering this was "8k pace" vs "10k pace"), but still reasonably happy with the paces. 1000s got slower, but then was able to finish stronger on the 800s - I think I was just warming up for the first half of the workout.
I think I've definitely been missing out on tempo work this fall, might be the secret sauce I'm lacking. Something to keep in mind for the future...
