Heat three win! After last week’s performances, seeded myself at a more modest 4:51. It was a heat of mostly boys… but that’s okay. Much better race, started in the middle of the pack and while it didn’t feel slow, I was on an o.k. pace and felt like I was in it. Moved up pretty quickly after two laps and caught the leader just after halfway, then was pushing the rest of the time. Just was trying not to wait to the finish! Last lap was my fastest, which is always a good thing. Definitely could have ran a bit faster in a more competitive heat - next time!
