Was planning on doing a workout with the HS team this morning, but Z didn't give me the updated time, so I missed it. We got a nice wintry mix last night and it was drizzling all day, so I waited until the late afternoon for it to warm up and the roads to be cleared a little. The road was pretty wet and slick, but conditions were definitely better than the morning. I decided to just do a progression run by feel, no real parameters other than that I just wanted to speed up each mile!

Everything's still clicking... felt great from the first mile. Miles 3 and 4 were a little tougher than expected as I started to get going, but by the time I hit 4 miles I felt great and was cruising from there. Had to make an emergency pit stop at the end of mile 7, and felt a little stiff when I started back up again, but got back into it pretty quickly and even was able to work down into tempo pace. Set a new Garmin 10k PR - 37:18 (6:00 pace) - happy with that! That actually makes this my best tempo since graduating. I need to get in a straight 20 minute tempo and see what I can do.
