1000m @ Wesleyan Invite II. Really low key meet. In the 1k w/ Tyguh, Bashir, Nafie, and a bunch of long sprinters & multis + Bobby Allen of CCRI. Was hoping to run low 2:40s, possibly PR. Wanted to aim for 32s / lap.
I thought I ran a pretty good race I thought, which made it pretty disappointing that the final time was so slow. I got out in a great spot and didn't go crazy, splitting 32-64 for the first two laps. I then made moves at the right time and moved on laps 3 & 4, passing Bashir, Kevan, and Nafie. 800 split was 2:12 (?). Think that is probably slow, because I thought I was moving pretty good on the last lap as I tried to close the gap on Tyler, maybe it was a 34 though. Hopefully I'll see some big improvements in the next few weeks.
