GBTC 10k Workout: 4-5x2000 @ 10k w/ 200 jog; planned to do 4x2k @ ~5:40, treat it as a broken tempo basically.
Yuck! Started slow the first one hoping that I could work my way down from there, but only was getting slower, so cut it after 3. Felt off the whole time, had a really hard time breathing - sickness / allergies still? Hopefully that goes away soon.
Not worried about this, thinking of it as a tempo it was slow and harder than I want, but I'm o.k. with not being able to kill workouts yet. Next week, a little better. 5:49 avg for 6k of work, last week was 5:33 for 4800 so not exactly an improvement but I was definitely taxed from Sunday's race.
There were SHOTS FIRED during practice, pretty exciting stuf!
