Notes

Very strong Saturday morning fartlek with Jarrett. 30 minutes up, then 10x1 on, 1 off, with the hard segments

@ 3k --> mile effort, and trying to keep the rests honest. We started with cornfields to bank some time, then did the normal North Lakes loop, starting the fartlek just after passing Miller. First half generally uphill, second half generally downhill (net downhill for the 19'). We were running a good pace for the hard segments and what felt like a normal pace for the rests. Felt good to run fast. The reps and rests were all short enough that it was easy to focus on each one at a time and stay mentally engaged. Mapping what I think we did for a loop in the 19' (a fairly conservative map imo) gives us an average pace of 5:46 (3.29 mi), so I think it's safe to say that we averaged at least under 6' pace. Maybe 5' average for the hards, 7' average for the easy's?
