34th Annual Brew Run with Paul. Pretty hot day, low 80s, and very humid. Fun day, Paul got 2nd in 28:16 and I got 14th in 31:12. Splits were (going by posted mile markers which I think may be a little off) :
Mile 1: 5:44
Mile 2: 5:50
Mile 3: 6:00
Mile 4: 6:16
Mile 5: 6:03
Final .2: 79 (pretty sure I was faster than this here...)
Didn't want to go out too fast, came through the mile in the 30s or so feeling fine. Moved up a lot through mile 2, still feeling pretty good. Miles 3 and 4 roll pretty good, some steep uphills. Legs were hurting, I had a good two or three guys to work with though. Felt pretty strong in the last 3 or 4 minutes of the race. Excited to start racing for real.
Pretty happy with this, honestly biggest fear was that I would bonk but I held it together. Was hoping to run faster, but still an improvement over last year ( 32:45 / 44th ).
