Easy AM solo run on the river, repeat of last Thursday's tempo - did 8 miles of the River St loop, no pace goal. This time I just checked my watch at the mile markers. Trying to get really comfortable running slower than marathon pace. It was a cool morning, but there was some headwind in the back half. A couple of quick breaks at stop lights, which I'm not really worrying about.
8 miles in 49:37 (6:13 / mi). 6s / mi faster than last week, and the effort felt right. Maybe I'll do some sort of shorter / faster tempo next week, then go for 10 miles at this pace in two weeks.
Late start this morning! But still really glad I got it done before work. Will have to do this earlier as it heats up, though.
