Workout at Tubbs Meadow. Ran in a group with Mike D, Johnny V, Christian, and Pat C. Assigned 3Xmile at tempo pace, 5:50-5:55 pace. Two minutes rest between intervals. We tagged along with Ryan M and Jesse, who were doing 4X mile. The first mile felt pretty controlled. I led our group, sticking right behind Ryan and Jesse. We finished in 5:42- quicker than necessary, but it still felt fine. On the second one, I again led our group right with Ryan and Jesse. This one again felt pretty controlled- hard, but manageable. I focused on breathing every third stride, focusing, and striding. The third one was pretty good, but with 600-800 to go we started to pick it up. I fell a few meters behind the group (except for Pat), but I maintained contact and focused on holding my ground and staying relaxed. As we got within 200 meters, I reeled them back in and finished with the group.

This was another in a series of good workouts for me. I was able to run good times while still feeling controlled, and I was glad that I mustered the energy to stick with the group on the final interval.
