Am I the only runner who never gets massages, goes to a PT, rolls and stuff? Sometimes I feel like I should from reading you guys.
Well if ain't broke....it probably will be someday.
It's an inexact science where some people rarely have problems and others always have them.
Hopefully you are the former.

Nice little video showing what pops or snaps at the hip.

Strongbad is a hip doctor now? Good for him!
Did my hill workout. It was pretty rough. It was supposed to be 2wu + 2 at 4% + 2 at 5% + 2 cd. The 4 miles were supposed to be tempo effort. Started at 4%, 7.8mph but couldn't hack it and had to take a break half way through and for the 2 at 5% had to lower it to 7.4mph. Fuck this shit.
That actually does look like the location where mine pops.

I never did any of this shit until I got injured and I have had sort of lingering issues since.
And then we will be broke in more ways than one!
Interesting. I remember doing this on occasion training for my first marathon. I don't anymore.
I did it a lot when I first started. I rarely do it any more, unless I'm really tired. It's a sure sign to me that I need to pay attention to my form.

Your marathon was in December, if I remember correctly? It's very possible that your body and mind require a good 3 months before you feel your normal running self again. They don't say that we can only run 2 good marathons per year for nothing. My last one was on November 2nd and I only started feeling like I was running normally again about 2 weeks ago... Whether mental or physical, running was just not the thing for me for the last 2 1/2 months. Sometimes, we have to respect ourselves and not force things. Try not to stress over it and just run lightly for a little while.
This makes me feel a little better..........

10k - 51:47 (8:16 min/mile pace)
15k -1:18:09 (8:24 min/mile pace)
13.1 - 1:53:12 (8:39 min/mile pace)
26:2 - 4:14:55 (9:44 min/mile)
Fuck this shit.
lol
I know that's right!
Are we there, yet?
Ankle kicking is a sign of weak hips by the way.
It may also be a sign that you are pigeon-toed.
2024 Races:
03/09 - Livingston Oval Ultra 6-Hour, 22.88 miles
05/11 - D3 50K 05/25 - What the Duck 12-Hour
06/17 - 6 Days in the Dome 12-Hour.
Yep, and in that case it would be something one learns to run with without trying to change it.
On that subject I do not see many pigeon-toed people anymore.
