Morning.
Last night, I did weights for chest, shoulders, and biceps. This morning, I did weights for back, triceps, calves, and shins. Because my right calf is tense, instead of running, I did 3.0 miles on the TM, starting at 4.0mph and, every .50 mile, increasing the speed by .1mph. By the time I reached 4.5mph, my calf finally began to relax. It's still tense, but a teeny bit better.
I might have to miss my second leg and glute workout for the week. I don't know if I'll have time before the Sabbath. Whatever.
What's up with people here?
Good morning, Basya. Where is everybody else? Sleeping in like I wanted to?
I'm heading out in a few minutes and meeting a friend in the middle of my planned 6 miles.

Morning! RD for me, but maybe I'll do weights. Not sure.
B+, question about the Mizuno trail shoes. Have you tried them on very technical trails? I wonder if they will stand running for 8 hours or so. My ultra is very technical with sand dunes and stuff.

Barking Mad To Run
Nice run/walk yesterday along my "Dog Alley' route at Fort Sam Houston. Took it nice and easy and treated all my canine pals along the way to doggie biscuits. Ended up with 3.8 miles. Weather was pretty nice, around 47 degrees and very sunny. But also VERY windy, with about a 20 mph wind blowing...fun stuff running into it.
Rest day for me today, 5K tomorrow morning, my 9th race of 2015:
access to food, fitness, classes, shopping, beauty, hair, makeup, medical resources, massage, nails.....as a runner/participant and you will receive it all. Enjoy SPA DAY services, run/walk the 5K course, replenish with tasty treats, enjoy workouts, shopping, and freebies provided by area vendors with special pricing for products and services...
Weather has changed for us now...'cold' front came in last night, we are in the 30s right now with a high of only 42 for today. For my 5K tomorrow - start time 8 a.m. - 37 degrees with a 'feels like' temp of 34...yeah, fun stuff for South Texans. Gail is a vendor for this event - she is a Scentsy consultant, so will have her products there - so at least I got free entry into this race, nice.
Today is February 27th...and the holidays for today are....

Lol, Dan...I've lived here over 20 years now, though...so I think I can be called a Texan now....

You are not a real Texan though just a transplant.

Not THIS Texan. I much prefer it to be 90 than 30 or 40!
'Sup!
Core work and 4 on the belt done.
My glutes are getting really strong. I am unsure that will help my running but put your money on The Kid in a beer can crushing contest.

I think you should post a video demonstration of this....

URD. It is supposed to snow today. It isn't a good idea for me to run in the snow while recovering from injury.

When we lived there, we were directly told by a native "Honey, if you weren't born here, you'll never be a Texan".
So I have been having a lot of knee soreness lately, but haven't felt it while running. Until today. My planned 10ish on the treadmill was cut down to 5. And even that was a stretch. Shitshitshitshit.
