          Happy Birthday Henrun!

A warm spring day here for a nice 6.2 mile to the fire station & back.

Tweaking Joe618, I saw this on FB yesterday & thought you might enjoy. Dumbrunner's comments on Boston Marathon forecast.

          Trails are hard!

Happy Birthday, Henry!!  Wondering if the 85 minutes was significant?

Need a fast half for late fall.  Then I need to actually train for it.

If I ever have to move, I'm calling Steve. He seems to know his way around packing/unpacking trucks.

If you're skipping workouts, Jay, you really must be tired. Listen to your body and all that.

Deez--wow, a Jesus in Gethsemane moment?  It is sad.

Tammy--Yowsa, that is a ton of rain.

Happy birthday, Henry, but the Bruins game is tomorrow night.

I haven't had tacos in ...too long.

It was 84F yesterday and we slept with the windows open last night. That seems very early.  I hope it's not a sign of things to come.

Warm and even a little humid here today, too. 22 mile bike route.

              Be safe. Be kind.

Happy Birthday, Henry.   Love everyone's pictures!

Tom - you got that right.
However, I think you got the wrong decade.

Today I had to take poor Rudy to the vet for the, ahem, removal of something.  He had no idea.

When I went to pick him up in the late afternoon, the poor guy was groggy and terrified, running to the back of the cage they had him in and trying to hide, even from me.  We're home now and he has settled down and is hanging out with me here, still a bit unsettled but not scared anymore.  He has to wear the Cone of Shame for 10 days when he is not being watched, but for now I have removed it so he can relax - it seems to scare the carp out of him.

This morning I ran 4 miles in the lovely (52 degrees) temps.  My foot was a little tender along the peroneal tendon, but not too bad.  However, an hour after my run, it hurt so much I was limping badly.  I iced it, then taped with KT tape, and that helped some, but the strange thing is that one minute I felt like my foot was actually broken, but a few minutes later I barely felt it, alternately most of the day.  Right now it doesn't hurt at all.  Tendon cramping?  I have no idea.  Should I run tomorrow?  I have no idea.  I have been barely running lately anyway, trying to let whatever it is keep from becoming worse, rotating shoes every run between 4 pairs.  I certainly don't want to get an actual injury, right when we are hitting the lovely weather.  (sigh)  I guess I will just play it by ear.

                            4 miles total.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Tramps, Dumb Runner's posts always get me laughing out loud, which is rare for me these days! Maybe I'll post some of my faves here when they come around again.
