Paced Helen's last big workout this afternoon but she ended up starting early so I rushed through a warmup in lane 8 to try to get a couple of miles in before going with her. 200-400-200 w/~3' rest. I ran on her outside shoulder the entire time to 1) mimic pressure in a highly competitive race, and 2) because I wasn't sure I'd be able to keep up and didn't want to slow her down if that was the case. We opened up in a 29.2. That was probably the fastest I've run in a few months if not longer. We came back in a negative split 67.4 (34/33) and ended with a 30.3. My hamstring and glute weren't particularly happy with these antics but I think it's more fatigue and tension from Poormans this morning. Happy to be there to support Helen in what would have otherwise been a tough solo workout.
