Still running for time, and tried to get this in after being back at St Ts for open house Sunday morning. I didn’t really feel like I raced yesterday so recovery seems to be better but still a little bleh. Got loose pretty quickly and felt very good after the first mile. With work travel this week I thought I would put in some effort and maybe have this be more of a progression. Somewhere between 4 and 5 I started to feel shitty so I eased up some. For whatever reason I started to feel a little motivated after slowing the pace and I was consistently under 8 without much effort. Began to push some and really felt like I was getting good turnover. Tried to crank it up a little at the end of the 7th mile and then really easy over the last 4 minutes or so. Pretty good workout and felt great. Until I bashed my big toe on something hard last night cleaning up around the beach. Awesome.
