A little sore from a couple days of work this week but generally felt good. Initially I was planning to run the trails with the Vibrams but had second thoughts because of the rain and a long run tomorrow. So the thought was to just go easy for 5. As I approached the first mile I felt like I was running really slow but noticed I was creeping under a 9 pace which would have been about right. The first 3 felt the same way so I just decided to hold pace and it never felt like work. The only time I really tried to drive a little harder was up the slight hill at Grammar St. about .5 before home and then I just held pace again. In looking at the splits this turned out to be an obvious progression and overall I can’t get over how much stronger I feel in such a short period of time. I continue to be in the 162 lb range and no ankle issues at all (knock wood). Long run tomorrow and then off for Mother’s Day.
