Pitch 2 vs briars, we started with 7 guys after huge traffic snarl on alfords point bridge, I just got there in time myself. after flexi day, had a cold, went to the specialist to organise colonoscopy, watched a blu ray sci fi flick skyline ok good fun silly ending. We were 3 nil up at half time and won 5-1. I didnt score, but setup at least 4 I think. ran amok, with rod, les and mark, and gordon great at the back, dave made some good saves, keith played well at half, jerry played good as well at centre half and they played rod centre forward or the other inner..maybe les was in the centre anyway we ran riot, I did some peachy long balls get the ball from peter macy, get space, find rod near the top of the circle from 50 metres couple of times, one he scored. first goal we passeid it between us a few times running up th field, I went right the goaie went with me, passsed back in to rod and he shot onto a defenders feet, stroke! which rod volunteered for. Third goal i led to the the top of the circle, gordon passed onto my stick, deflected to leswho picked up the crumbs. Forth goal I passed across to les or rod shot blocked then scored by mark, I remember doing a fantastic backstick stop and running it up, beat the fullback with drag to left passed to rod or les, not sure if that was a goal but good work, rest of game in same vein. not bad for me having the flu and rod recovering from his marathon on the weekend!
