vs Macarthur, lost 2-1. We played with 8 until the second half when Peter Macey hobbled on, got to one all when I scored from a short corner with about 5 minutes to go, then they scored with a minute to go, outch. But great effort being so short. would have killed them with a full team. Had a good game too, was able to run as ususal despite the 21.6 k on Monday ! goal was good, peter krepp layed off to me after the trap and I had plenty of time to whack it in really hard, undert/through the goalie he stayed up .. got lots of ball, ran and passed etc rod came back from his broken collar bone and did well too, only blot from my poiint of veiw was running 60 - 70 meteres to be in front of goal and missing a cross, just fractionally after all that way it was in an awkward spot :-( but overall really good game and good fun. les borrowed my other stick played a great game at fullback and dave in goal made some great saves too. Had two light beers upstairs afterwards and watched macarthur vs unsw b grade, we coulda beaten them too! Winebars played in that game, and dave allen and his brother from over 50s. Is that 7 goals for the year in vets I think ?
