Really happy with my effort today. I was planning on using this as more of a tempo by slowly building into it, but as soon as we started I fell into race mode. The course wasn't marked so I just kept lap times on my watch for each 2.5 mile loop. My laps were 14:01, 13:52, 14:02, 14:09. I was leading with Kennedy for a while and made a little push around mile 3 to get some separation. After that i thought i might have overextended myself, but fell into a rhythm the rest of the way. Ran a couple minutes faster than I planned on so i guess the training is working.
