Embarrassing that I got 2nd. I ran a 16:08 and felt super tired doing it. My training has been spotty at best and this was more of a test than anything else. Conditions were rough, a steady headwind on the way out and a stifling stillness on the way back. The heat and humidity were already strong at 8:30am. I did a pseudo workout on Thursday barefoot that definitely took its toll and slowed me down. I think my splits were pretty even:
