Notes

Assessment before going into race: still feeling a little fatigued from the intensity and volume of training over last 3 weeks. This week was nice to have as a down week. I think it's alright that I'm feeling tired going into tomorrow as my underlying feeling is one of strength. I've got a few creaks in the old bones, but nothing injury related or that should slow me down otherwise. I was pretty wiped at the beginning of the week with lack of sleep and stress from Crow's Path stuff, but the second half of the week I've been sleeping 8.5-10 hours a night, which has been amazing. Overall, I think I'm ready for a pretty damn good opener to the season tomorrow. We'll see how it actually goes.

Race plan: I don't have a watch, which I'm excited about (didn't wear one last year either). I have the same goal as last year, to go out and stay competitive early in the race. Last year I backed off a bit at 1.5 miles, but it felt okay as the lead pack sped up. Lets see what happens if I just go with them! I'd love to run a PR and feel confident that's in my grasp. 4:55s here we come...
