Planned back-to-back. Left foot is remarkably better day after run. Fast walked ~1/2 mi + drills. Ran down Sharon, left on Ferncliff to right before Colony and then doubled back. Felt better than yesterday to start (did not feel like I was in slow motion) but conditions were really horrific (69 dew pt). Really focused on form and cadence. Grinded out first 2.4 miles, then tried to really concentrate on quick cadence going up Sharon fr Ferncliff -- and then had my first "breakthrough" as I noticed that even though I was going slow my hips were more forward and in a stronger position allowing my cadence to be quick but also feeling "easier or less like a struggle". At the top of Sharon continued to focus on my hips being strong & "pulling thru body". All of a sudden at abt 3.6 miles this became a monumental struggle (my entire body was hurting & sweating profusely) & so at every light I stopped for a couple of seconds -- and felt like I was in slow motion. Grabbed my water bottle at Whole Foods and finished off the final 4/10ths of a mile. The two positives were that my left foot hurt significantly less compared to the last back-to-back & the improvement in form. When o when will any semblance of my fitness come back???
