Easy Run

Could not run Mon due to snow storm (snow/ice during day & footing would have been lethal, insane winds - 20-25mph gusting to 50mph). Stopped snowing early in AM, but today was cold (high of 35) & there were ice patches where the footing was lethal. Legs felt "dull" after two days off (no "zip", no "strength" & the pace was off 20-30 sec/mi. Started at Orchard St bridge ran down & right on Hawthorne to end right on Benedict right on Thompson right on McBride right on Hawthorne right on Benedict (loop 1), then another loop (mi 1 - this was mostly into the stiff headwind), did 3.5 more loops (mi 2 - felt stronger, easier & much faster - unfortunately it was not & when I feel faster & it isn't usually a bad sign), did 3 more loops (mi 3 - felt exactly as same mi 2 & it was), finished loop then left on Thompson up Cloverdale (into wind) left on Rte 22 down then up looped around Bank back up Rte 22 left & looped around train station lot & 1/2 down Fisher looping back (mi 4 - embarrassingly slow, probably because I was afraid of footing so was ultra conservative). walked under RR bridge, ran up & back Fisher (footing really bad) then ran into No White Plains train station lot & ran loops of lower lot (mi 4 thru 5.85 mi: it was 30 degrees & anything wet was frozen which made me run "scared", tried to zig zag lot but there was snow in the parking spaces so settled to run more conservative - amazingly, I felt strong but pace was embarrassingly slow). Crossed tracks by walk thru station, then ran back from other side back to Orchard St bridge (mi 5.85 - 6.5: again, this was slow & had wind behind me?).
