Injury Recovery Run

Fast walked 2.6 mi prior (12:40 pace). No tightness at all in lower right hamstring so decided to run today, rest tomorrow. Extended running segment fr 500m yesterday to 1k today walking around for ~1 min in between (ran 5 1ks + ~4/10mi). Started fr hotel across fr Starbucks & jogged up Sharon & 1/2 down Rutherford (felt fine & felt nothing for 750m & then began to feel some tightness as I ascended the hill to Rutherford). Then ran a loop down Rutherford/left on Sulkirk/left on Sharon/left on Rutherford 1/2 way down (again, felt fine, zero tightness but began to feel twinges after 1/2 mi). Ran down Rutherford right on Sulkirk to Long Meadow looped back on Sulkirk to top of hill 150m before Sharon (similar to first 3 but felt more tightness in lower right hamstring to where I wanted to go about 8/10ths of a mi but cut it right at 1k). Ran down Sulkirk left on Sharon up & down hill right into Church lower lot right to far entrance looped around into near entrance to back of lower lot (really focused on using my glutes & that seemed to take pressure off hamstring & felt better throughout this segment). Ran fr back of lower lot left & then out far entrance right on Sharon left into hotel to back of parking lot (felt more fluid & in a better rhythm & used glutes). Final segment was running out of hotel left on Sharon right up Fairview into Allen Tate.
