Harris Y Trail
First "back-to-back" run attempted. This run was the antithesis of yesterday. Ran 4 miles, walked 2+ min, then ran another mile similar to yesterday (and ran on trail, grass and some along sidewalk). Yesterday I locked into a comfortable pace. Today, felt terrible after first mile. Struggled throughout. Tried to focus on form. Monitored AHR and attempted to slow down after seeing it top 150. Right foot was aching more. Unbelievably, my mile pace today was almost 40 seconds faster vs. yesterday and today I felt slow w/terrible form! Whats more, my splits were very consistent (which is not how I felt -- felt like miles 4 and 5 were 8:40 paced miles).
After much ice I hope rt foot gets back to normal (plus tomorrow will be an off-day). Re-adjusting mileage goal this week to 20 miles.
