Notes

Goal was to extend past 10 min -- ran this in 3 segments (12 min / 9;30 & remainder). On first segment ran at what felt like 10 min pace and tried to relax and "find" a rhythm which is what I am unable to do. At 10 min I said "lets try for 15", 90 second later it felt like I had an elephant on my back and grinded another 30 sec out. Sweating like crazy. Took shirt off. Ran next segment back around to Fairview and up -- again tried to find any rhythm, this pace felt much slower vs. prior (it wasn't), tried to focus on maintaining constant effort as this was mostly uphill to Whole Foods. As I got to Whole Foods I began to feel that "cold sweat" feeling I would feel if I ran too hard too long (and this was at 21+ min into an easy effort????). Cannot believe how out of shape I feel and how much of a monumental struggle each run is. Final segment I felt "gassed" -- only saving grace is that left foot pain was not nearly bad as prior run, and decided at 3 miles to stop and not push left foot any further. Hours after these runs (of 3 mi) I feel like I ran 15 miles? Pain in left is "disappearing" approx 36 hours after each run now (allowing me to "struggle"/run every other day).
