Notes

"Longest run" of the year. Also ran this stopping only once which was a "monumental" achievement. Ran two miles straight (the first 1/4 mile felt terrible but then was able to find a rhythm and quick cadence, and found that every 3-4 minutes I would "lose rhythm" and concentrate on restoring a quick cadence to get back into rhythm). When I got to 2 miles it felt like 10 miles (sweating but less "panting"). Resumed and really focused on finishing. When I hit 3 miles my legs felt like rubber as if I was at 20 miles!

Left foot was hurting more than normal and had some tenderness on inside of heel which was disconcerting (since this is where my left was significantly inflamed after attempts to run again in late Nov, late Dec and mid Jan). Left foot can only tolerate running every other day so until I can get up to about 5 miles a day I will never be able to get rid of the weight gained from zero activity (which is also muscular -- none of my regular running shorts fit in the legs, my shirts don't fit in the shoulders or arms).
