Easy Run

Probably the worst conditions of the year so far. Tropical Caribbean level dew pt (the air was super thick). Fast walked & did drills prior. Right hamstring was tight to start (amazing how the needling on Tue relieved all of that tension) & felt some "hobbling pain" right in the beginning (something I have not experienced for several weeks?). Started at HarrisY (late) and ran around lot and then around soggy dirt trail (mi 1 - the fields felt like a tropical rain forest where the dew pt felt like it was 70+, the air was dead still & I made a point of getting out of there), then ran around lot & out down Quail Hollow into apartments & then up hill (mile 2 - focused on cadence & was not overheating), ran up Quail Hollow up to school & then looped around up to track (mile 3 - all uphill, this felt like the same pace as mile 2, it wasn't), then 8 laps (1 mi or mile 4) around the 200m track (there was a slight breeze in one direction so instead of 4 laps went 8 laps to take advantage of this breeze, and felt good but this felt faster than 9 min pace which is embarrassing & focused on form), ran out of the school to the Y parking lot & since I did not want to go back to the trail ran around the parking lot (mile 5 - as I got to mile 5 I could start to feel the effects of overheating, getting sick to my stomach & losing rhythm), then added another 1/4 mi & stopped (at 5.25mi I was completely soaked, shorts dripping, right hamstring felt tighter). Then ran another 1/2 mi after I vented heat to finish off run.
