Notes

The track team had an early bird meet today at Illinois Wesleyan, so went out to support the team and do my due diligence as head coach. Drove an early car of jumpers and throwers so I would have time to run before any races started. Didn't really know where to go, so just started jogging down the street. Felt like hot garbage for the first mile. My legs were tight, especially my right IT band and I was still quite hungover from the night before. Found an entrance to the Constitution Trail, which turned out to be a great place to run. As the run went on, I started to feel less and less shitty. By the end I was feeling pretty great actually. Spent my last two miles trying to catch up to some dude who was running up ahead of me, but alas, I had to off for the track before I caught up. The last mile was pretty quick, but felt really good actually. Did some rolling before standing around the rest of the day.

The track meet went pretty well I'd say. Our sprints, jumps, mid-d and throws teams have clearly been putting in some good work this fall. Seems like we might have the pieces to come back and contend for the team title at Club Relays and NIRCA Nats this spring.
