Notes

Good enough run but not perfect. Met up with Taylor to run from the HS. There was a 5K RR going on that the HS XC team was running, so we jogged around the school to watch the finish (TMannion FTW 2 days after emerging elites 800 @ nationals) and did some of their cooldown with them. After that, everything was normal. Taylor surprised me by doing about 11.3 with me instead of the 8 he was planning, so I only had ~38 min on my own. Solid enough quality for that part, faster than the bulk of the Taylor portion. It'll do for today.

Nice mileage week but I won't claim it's one of my best overall weeks. The preliminary plan for next week is to work in 2-3 doubles, plus a farlek in addition to the progression and tempo. Singles total might drop a few miles but with doubles want to be looking over 90. Been going easy workout-wise to get myself into a better mental state, committing to longer runs, higher mileage, etc. Feeling comfortable with how things are going so am looking to start introducing some more quality stuff now.

Side note, I checked results from Roxbury and the guy who I was with for a while was the guy who, a few years back, I swore I'd come back and beat one day because I thought he was an asshole. Turns out, he was super friendly (didn't recognize him with a full beard) so I guess I had the wrong impression all these years. But, mission accomplished regardless?
