Notes
Barefoot in the rain! I almost aborted early on because of the rain and a couple of hot lightning flashes in the south, but kept saying to myself I could turn around at a quarter mile, then a half mile, etc. Once I was past one mile, it was pretty clear that I was going for the whole distance. I had the trail pretty much to myself, and in the quiet parts away from the streets, I was enjoying hearing the pat-pat of my feet. As for the ankle, it seemed pretty good considering I had run yesterday. In an effort to keep it relaxed, I thought really hard about not thinking about it. I think that helped ;-)
One more thing, I started out with a 2-3 breathing pattern, and maintained it throughout the run. It seemed to provide more than adequate O2 for the pace. Kinda nice.
