I guess I've got a 5k in 9 days so might as well do another workout. It was a decent morning out, sunny and humid but not stifling yet. I took Nessa for my warm-up, 1.5+ miles. I dropped her off and put on some racing shoes (calling them "flats" just doesn't seem appropriate anymore).
10min Tempo: Only averaged 6:10 pace on the undulations of Fairfax. I wouldn't say I felt bad, it felt like the right effort. Only my cadence was a little low and my stride length was a little shorter than ideal.
6 x 1min @ 5k w/ 1min rest: Nothing special about these, averaged about 5:30. I wouldn't say that's my 5k pace but it probably was today. Actually only did 5 as I totally missed the watch vibration for my 5th rep.
10min Tempo: Slightly faster than the 1st tempo but still over 6min pace. It started out feeling fairly easy but going faster seemed like a tall order.
