Temp 72 Wind 5 mph. Humidity 92% Dew Point 70°.
Always a challenge to warm-up for these things. Never know what time you will start. Figure we got a 7:00 minute swimmer and a 50 minute biker, so I get rolling right at 7:00 a.m.. Over a mile later, look over and athletes are still getting their pre-race instructions. Hits kept coming: (1) Race over 10:00 minutes late getting started, (2) Our swimmer, one of the two or three fastest is forced to start in last wave since she is on a team, (3) Bike course about three miles short, so had to rush to get back to transistion area during final preps.
Total Up = 2.83 miles with jogging, drills, and striders. Got it all in except for my last strider.
Down = 1.02 miles. Short one; hard race in brutal humidity, will save a little of myself for Sunday's post-race long run.
