Temp 48 (WC 44) Wind 8 mph.

3 x 1200 Repeats with 400 meter recovery jogs. Goal is to do #1 at 7:00 m/m pace, then final two at McMillan 15K pace (6:40-6:45). Running in outside lane to avoid tight turns.

#1 -- (7:14) Sloppy, uneven, and slow. Not very focused. However, under race conditions, the actual effort level may have been close to spot on.

#2 -- (6:42) Nearly perfect. Relaxed, focused, and smooth. Need to bottle this one.

#3 -- (6:37) Uneven. Would be on, lose focus and stride, then surge to get it back. Harder than it had to be due to lack of efficiency. Once in each lap, always on one of the turns. Oh well, this is why you practice.

Recoveries: 2:21 & 2:24. 2:30ish jog after final rep.

Got it in without wiping myself out. Last hump before race day. All downhill until Saturday. 15K is a scary distance, but I think body will be ready, and I actually like racing with just a touch of fear. Four days to get primed, get the head into it, and be ready to make something happen.
