Temp 48 Wind 19 mph.

Planned a big workout ahead of day off tomorrow. 4 x 1 mile repeats w/ 3 minutes rest...two on track, two on streets. Crappy weather caused a move to Plan B: 1 mile / 3 minute rest / 4 x 800 w/ 400 jog intervals / 3 minute rest / 1 mile. All on track.

Get first mile in 6:33. Rain went from steady to downpour. Gear, including shoes and socks, has soaked through. Have baggie over Garmin and cannot see or hear alerts. Move to inside lane and run the rest on feel with no immediate feedback.

On to first 800. Run a 3:08 (6:16). Quad locked about 100 meters in for a few strides. Wet gear feels like a couple of 10 lb weights are strapped to each leg. Plan B ain't gonna happen today. Check down to Plan C which is to finish with a second 800, then 2 x 400 w/ 400 jog interval.

Second 800 -- 3:13 (6:26). First 400 -- 1:35 (6:20) and I'm waxed. Second 400 -- 1:33 (6:12).

Real wuss today, couldn't execute my workout. What I did get in was quality under these conditions...probably more than most people will do today and tomorrow.
