Temp 35 (WC 26) Wind 14 mph.

Off day tomorrow, so decided to do a Fitness Test Easy Run. The McMillan Running calculator says that my last 5K time translates into an 8:19-8:49 pace for an Easy Run. When running on Ave. HR, pace is slower. Ran this on pace and let HR float.

In at 8:38 pace. Ave. HR 150 (81%). Acceptable. Splits:

8:27 - Short up hills, long downhills.

8:29 - Mostly flat.

8:52 - Mostly uphill.

8:35 - Long uphills, short downhills.

8:42 - Long uphills, short downhills.

Was able to have my head in the game when it needed to be. Fun run, gonna miss it tomorrow...but that's the way it is suppose the be!!
