Temp 62 Winds Calm. Humid (96%) Dew Point 61 degrees. Some low fog.

Except for racing, no speed work since mid-June. Wrestled with what to do all week. Ease back in with 200s? Go for speed endurance with 1200s. Settled on Hal Higdon recommendation of 5x400 with 400 intervals. Looking to hit between low McMillan (1:24) and 5K (1:34) pace.

Screwed up Garmin auto lap setting and display (out of practice on that, too). Could not get any in-workout feedback, and had to go on feel and plot times on graph after download. Reason times are ranges.

#1 -- 1:15ish. Too fast. Would have to pay for that few months ago, but in good enough shape now its not a biggie.

#2 -- 1:25-1:30. That was better.

#3 -- 1:20-1:25. Thought was running too fast, but also thought it may just be the increased effort required to hold pace after the first two. Nope, just ran it too fast.

#4 -- 1:25-1:30. Another good one.

#5 -- 1:25-1:30. Finished with a good one. Locked in every step.

Jog intervals were hitting about 2:10-2:15. Lost form coming out of final turn on first three. Got it together and did better on last two. 3/5 good. Did what I came to the track to do. Did most of it the way it was suppose to be done. Not bad for first time back.
