Temp 61 Winds Calm. Humid (97%) Dew Point 60 degrees. Some fog.

Workout is 3 x 0.75 at 5K Effort. 0.25 jog intervals. 5K pace from most recent race over one month old (8/1). Average 6:18 with splits of 6:07 / 6:24 / 6:28.

Rep 1 - 4:37. 1st lap felt fast, but wasn't. Lap splits 1:32 / 1:33 / 1:32. Mile Pace 6:10. Decent start.

Rep 2 - 4:26. Did I just do that?? Scary thing is I could have held on another lap. Lost it a little in last two turns, but got it back immediately on straights. Would mean I can now do a sub-6 mile on a track...without fresh legs. New territory here. Lap splits 1:29 / 1:27 / 1:30. Mile Pace 5:55.

Rep 3 - 4:35. If I overdid it, this rep should be slower than the first. Nope! Ran it with a stitch. Started feeling it late in first lap. Form and stride suffered on last lap, and split showed it. Lap Splits 1:29 / 1:31 / 1:35. Mile Pace 6:07.

Jog intervals 2:12 / 2:18 / 2:21. Even with jog intervals, could not all-out race a 5Ks this fast 9 months ago. Quality effort, quality workout. Execution errors few and minor. Can be worked out by doing these types of workouts. Did not wear a HR monitor. Thought if I knew about when HR exceeds 95% in a race, would mess with my head.
