Temp 81 (Heat Index 85) Wind 9 mph. By finish, Temp 89 (Heat Index 99) Wind 11 mph.
Long Run. Did Ghisallo Group Run. Billy, Lars, and co. in HS group. Myself, Schmiz, Shannon A. and Joe W. in "old man" crew. We all raced yesterday, and its hot today, so agreed to take it extra easy. Heat index hit 99 while we were out. Not ready for this yet. Pretty much melted us. Did go ahead and slip off from group to take another loop around Arena Park at end . Wanted at least 1:30:00 today. Was going to do some drills, but could tell muscles were not properly hydrated. Jogged it out and then went and sweated all over the store for a few minutes with the rest of the crew.
Props to Brandon S. 3rd in state @ 3200. 7th @ 1600. School records at both distances as a Soph. Two years to put them both out of reach for a long time.
