Cool down jog home. Spoke to some walkers about half way there...realized, "I'm not out of breath!!??" Wow.
...Results from Toy Box Mile posted on Road Runners site. Joe W. goes 5:19 chasing A-Wad. Best estimate is this course would run about 0:05 seconds faster than Adam McGee Memorial course. Puts us about even. Now I'll never be the best masters runner in this area, but I would at least like to be the best in my hometown of 15,000. He appears to be the last one standing. He has me in genetics, youth (6 years my junior), and experience (school's top CC runner in early 80s posting times in mid 15s). Other than that, its a fair fight. Finished second OA to him at City of Roses. Expect to see him again at Jingle Bell Run. Will I ever be able to run this guy down??
