Notes
Ankles and feet were aching a little this morning and I would have rather slept more since I was sleeping soundly. Luckily I had other runners pulling me along today. I ran with Phil and Dan almost 5 miles with Hugh trying to pass us a few times. Dan slowed down just a little and I kept pace with Phil. At about mile 6, we come up behind Mark Keyes and some other guy. Mark decides to run with us, but I find him pulling me along a just a little faster and Phil holds his pace. I ran with Mark until the end. Fortunately, he didn't try to kill me by speeding up the last half mile like Dreier did last week on my tempo run. I ended up with the exact same time this week, but miles were a little more consistent. I would have been quite happy just running 7 min miles from mile 3 until the end but it just didn't happen.
We encountered a police car on the trail about half mile from the end and another at the end. Someone had called in an assault and the police picked up a suspect that looked like a runner. They had to let him go though since the victim was no where to be seen. This is too bad since I think it looks bad for the police as well as the suspect who may not even be guilty.
