Notes

I wanted to get 20 miles this morning but wasn't sure if I would have time. Our first loop was so fast but I stayed with most of the guys. When we started our Gans Creek loop I decided to stay back and run my own pace. I almost caught the lead group but then they pulled ahead. Eventually caught up to Rodney but he had hurt his ankle. Caught up to Andy P. who was feeling cooked today and went around him. Andy S. caught up to me and ran for awhile and then caught up to the others. David had hit head on a tree, Leland was feeling it after his 25 miler yesterday. Thought maybe I needed to be careful due to all this bad luck but eventually got back up to my speed. I thought maybe would run with Andy P. for a few more but he decided he was done. Leland said he would run 5 more. He let me lead and felt we kept a pretty consistent pace from what I had run earlier. This was a really good long run for me. Could have gone further but not sure how long this pace would have continued. I think the easy week last week and only 8 miles yesterday obviously contributed to this this good run. Got home and took my shoes off and where my big toe knuckle is a bit sore. I did hit my toe on something early in the run so must have jammed it a bit. Didn't notice it at all during the run.
